The REPORT OF THE EXAMINATION is a detailed description of the inspection. Its minimum content is defined and its form is less formal than that of an accredited report. Radiographic material testing is a commonly used non-destructive material testing method according to standard specifications. It detects various volumetric defects, volumetric continuity defects inside the test piece.

Ultrasonic testing (UT) is one of the most commonly used non-destructive testing methods. It detects in-plane and (sometimes) volumetric continuity defects in the components under test.
